Partnering with the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice, this 3.5-minute animated PSA advocates for reparative systems to empower people of color. Narrated by Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka, the video speaks directly to New Jersey residents and policymakers to explain the urgent need for systemic change.

The animation features a bold, journalistic aesthetic utilizing a minimalist black, white, and gold palette with simple visualizations of facts. By employing a highway metaphor, the PSA illustrates systemic obstacles to Black economic success and explores New Jersey’s complex history. This compelling visual narrative transforms a sensitive topic into an accessible, factual tool for public education.
